They will be focusing on thinning out the twigs and small branches, and making a start on raising the canopy in the Far Cider Orchard, which will improve access around the trees to support their ongoing care and the orchard floor management.
Dress warmly for working outdoors on this kind of Midwinter afternoon. Wear long sleeves and long trousers to avoid being scratched by brambles. Bring a hat to keep your head warm! Wear stout shoes or boots and bring along your own gardening gloves and bring your pruning shears, scythes and/or loppers.
